A movie screening on HIV/AIDS was conducted by Zone 4 of RI District 3292 to mark the World AIDS Day 2009. The program was initiated by Rotaract club of Mount Everest. The venue, Dahachwok, also the SAP area of RCME, was selected so as to provocate the knowledge of the under privileged locals outside the Kathmandu Valley.

Although there was a little hassle before the program, the whole program went smoothly without any obstructions. The program was scheduled for 3pm to 5pm. The theme of the movie was “You Are No Exception” which delivers the fact that no one can be safe from the deadly disease if precaution is not used. There were 8 short movies presented. The total duration of the presentation was 1 hour. There was a respectable no. of people watching the movies with full enthusiasm in the blistering cold.

Rtr. Pramit Shrestha addressed the crowd describing about the program and also gave the vote of thanks.

There was an admirable support from the locals there for the event. Also our RCC president Mr. Dharma was a great help for us without whose help, the program wouldn’t have been successful. The locals there has invited for another round of screening at their locality which proves to be the effectiveness of the program.
