Marking UN Day 2009

The district event "Marking United Nations Day" was jointly hosted by RC Himalaya Patan and RC Kathmandu Metro at the premises of Apex College on 24th October 2009.

The 1st guest speaker was PDRR Mr. Anil Shrestha, Panelist, UNYAP. He highlighted on the topic "Youth and the MDGs (Millenium Development goals)" which is also a thrust area for this Rota year.

The 2nd guest speaker was Mr. Bijaya Thapa, Assistant Representative, UNFPA, on behalf of UN System Nepal. His topic for the day was "Hand in Hand with Young People".

The last speaker was Mr. Kabindra Burlakoti, President, AYON (Association of Youth Organization Nepal). He also highlighted on the youth empowerement and the necessity of change and awareness in youth.

On the day, Rtr, Roshan, Rtr. Pramit, Rtr. Shreeya and Rtr. Shreeyasha were present.
